Renee and I met at a scrapbook event in May 2009. We were chatting about how we'd both love to have some kind of resource for stamping techniques, something we could refer to for inspiration when we were stuck or out of ideas. Renee mentioned the idea of doing an altered Rolodex and I thought that was fabulous!

We checked out how much rolodex's cost and after that sad trip to Staples, I though our idea was finished. Did you know they cost $40 -$60 dollars? No way could I offer this as a class, let alone as a Stamp Technique Club!
Renee left saying "I have an idea- I'll get back to you..." a week later she showed my her prototype box...WOW- I was so amazed! It's made completely out of paper and it's SOOO cool! (and affordable to make!). An alliance was made- you design, I'll administrate... and so it went!
Then we began the process of picking techniques (120 in total), grouping them into categories and difficulty. We did each technique and then I wrote up simple, short instructions; formatted to fit exactly in the sizzix 'Card, Telephone & Address' die. The trick was not too much detail, but not too little either! The rest of the summer I spent creating the planners- supply lists, instructions, cutting maps, photographs of every step and sample.
What's next? Renee has dreamed up lots more projects, I have more planners to write; now we just need to find more hours in a day!
